2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Review

By Staff Posted on December 9, 2024
The Toyota Highlander is a three-row, mid-sized crossover SUV competing with vehicles such as the Honda Pilot, the Nissan Pathfinder and the Mazda CX-9. The Toyota Highlander is slightly more expensive than many of its rivals, but in return it offers a bit more comfort and the kind of legendary reliability that Toyota built its reputation on. The Highlander also offers a combination of both power and fuel economy that its rivals can't match, with more horsepower than the Honda, Nissan or Mazda while bettering all of them in fuel economy while driving on the highway.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Test Drive Video Review

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L are available in both 4x2 and 4x4 drive types in four trims: Laredo, Limited, Overland, and Summit while the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk model is available in 4x4 only. Powering the Grand Cherokee is one of three engines, a 3.6L Pentastart V6 engine with 293 horsepower, a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine with 357 horsepower and a towing capacity up to 7200 lbs, and a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo charged PHEV engine with 375 horsepower. All three engines are mated a an 8-speed automatic transmission. Independent front and multi-link rear suspension systems and a unibody structure have made the Grand Cherokee's frame very rigid. The Class-Exclusive Quadra-Lift® Air Suspension now has Electronic Semi-Active Damping which automatically lowers the vehicle at highway speeds to achieve efficient aerodynamics. While in off-road situations, it allows you to raise the vehicle to clear obstacles when driving over rough terrain. Standard equipment on the base Laredo includes keyless entry and ignition, 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated mirrors, rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. An 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also standard. The Limited trim adds upgraded 18-inch aluminum wheels, a leather interior with power-adjustable heated seats with memory, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel. Safety and convenience are enhanced with a rear parking aid, integrated turn signal mirrors, automatic climate control, power liftgate and remote start. With the Overland trim comes more luxury as it gets 20-inch aluminum wheels, front and rear parking sensors, leather-trimmed performance seats with heated and ventilated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel and other interior trim upgrades. It also gains a remote trunk release and a power liftgate. The Summit steps up the luxury, convenience, and comfort features, including adaptive cruise control, rear controls for the climate control system, a blind-spot/rear cross-path detection system, front collision warning and exterior trim enhancements. A 10-speaker audio system takes the music to the next level. The 4-wheel-drive models are all seriously capable but can be upgraded to meet whatever any level of off-road intensity the customer is looking for. Skid plates, hill descent control and a high-performance Quadra-Drive II 4WD system are available. Standard safety equipment across the lineup includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, active head restraints, a full array of airbags, including full-length side-curtain and seat-mounted side thorax air bags, ParkSense with Stop, Blind Spot Monitoring, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, hill-start assist, automatic headlights, trailer-sway control and tire pressure monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control is also available, along with front collision alert and front park assist.

2025 Mazda CX 70 Review

The all-wheel drive Mazda CX-70 is available in five trims: Turbo Preferred Package, Turbo Premium Package, Turbo Premium Plus Package, Turbo S Premium Package, and Turbo S Premium Plus Package. Mazda keeps things pretty simple with two powertrain options for the CX-70. Power comes from a 3.3L turbocharged 6-cylinder engine making 280 or 319 horsepower. The base model CX-70 is more basic than other versions but is still equipped with plenty of nice features. Air conditioning with separate rear controls, adaptive cruise control, power door locks and power windows are all generally expected, and all are present. However, more upscale items that come standard on the Turbo Preferred Package include 19-inch wheels, a power liftgate, power sunroof, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, rearview camera, LED headlamps and daytime running lights and audio controls on the steering wheel. The Turbo S Premium trims add power folding side mirrors, dark chrome accents, directionally adaptive headlamps, 21-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, driver seat memory, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker sound system, surround view cameras, a heated leather steering wheel, forward collision mitigation with left turn assist, rear collision mitigation, active drive monitoring, front cross traffic mitigation, and a traffic sign information system. Numerous safety systems come standard 8 airbags, adaptive cruise control, active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front pedestrian detection, and a driver attention alert.
