2024 Kia Telluride Review

By Staff Posted on January 8, 2025
The Kia Telluride competes with other three row SUV's such as the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander. The Telluride is priced extremely competitively with its main rivals. It offers fresher styling in the details while still looking more like an SUV than a crossover, despite its advanced underpinnings. Designed specifically for the United States, the Telluride is a well thought out vehicle, providing tons of small touches that add practicality, often where it's least expected. Sitting at the top of their SUV lineup, the Kia Telluride also offers a fair amount of luxury, ensuring everyone isn't just brought to their destination, but rather brought there in style and in comfort.

2022 Kia Sorento PHEV Test Drive Video Review

2022 Kia Sorento PHEV Test Drive Video Review

The 2025 Kia Sorento boasts a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and it is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain offers brisk acceleration and power delivery, making it well-suited for both city driving and highway cruising. The 14 kWh battery provides an impressive all-electric range of up to 32 miles, perfect for short commutes and reducing the need for frequent gas station visits. When operating in hybrid mode, the Sorento PHEV achieves an impressive fuel economy, further enhancing its appeal to environmentally conscious drivers. The Sorento comes with only one trim for PHEVs, which is the SX Prestige. It offers seating up to six passengers across three rows. Leather seating trim is standard which create a premium feel. The front seats offer heating and ventilation. The second-row seats can slide and recline, while the third row, though best suited for children offers additional flexibility. Cargo space is ample with 12.6 cubic feet behind the third row, and a generous 38.5 cubic feet with third row folded down. Kia has equipped the 2025 Sorento PHEV with a host of advanced technologies. The standard infotainment system includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android auto compatibility. It also includes a premium Bose sound system, wireless charging, dual zone climate control, 8 USB outlets and a larger 12.3 inch fully digital instrument cluster. Sorento PHEV also equipped Bluetooth connectivity, an HD radio, steering wheel mounted audio and cruise control, voice activated audio rear camera, power windows and door locks, heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals and keyless-remote entry. Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane departure warning with active lane centering technology, front and rear parking sensors, front and rear, traffic sign recognition, exit warning, pedestrian detection, hill start assist, blind spot collision avoidance and auto emergency braking.

2024 Kia Seltos Review

2024 Kia Seltos Review

The Seltos comes with one of two powerplants under its hood. The base engine is a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine making 146 horsepower which is mated to either all-four wheels or just the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission. In front-wheel drive form, the Seltos is capable of 31 mpg in combined city and highway driving with the base engine. The optional engine is a 195 horsepower 1.6L turbocharged unit. It's paired to a dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to all-four wheels. Even with the more powerful engine and all-wheel drive, the Seltos is still rated at 27 mpg in combined city and highway driving. There are five different trim levels for the Kia Seltos, starting with the LX trim. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, all-wheel drive, automatic projector beam headlights, an 8-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, steering wheel mounted controls for the sound system and cruise control, power door locks and power windows. The S trim adds heated mirrors, chrome exterior highlights, roof rails, and taillights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a forward collision avoidance assist system, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and lane keep following functions. Interestingly enough, unlike the base LX, the S trim does not come with all-wheel drive, though it can be optioned for an extra cost. The upshot is that the S and the LX trims both cost the exact same amount, so owners who don't necessarily need all-wheel drive can get a ton of options instead for the same low price. The EX trim adds a power sunroof, machine finished 17-inch wheels, extra USB charging ports, a wireless phone charger, a smart key with push button and remote starter functions, automatic climate control, LED interior lighting, rear seat HVAC vents, a 10-way power adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic avoidance systems as well as all-wheel drive. At the top of the Kia Seltos range sits the SX Turbo trim. The SX Turbo adds full LED headlights and fog lights, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen with built in satellite navigation, satellite radio and voice recognition, a Bose sound system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, smart cruise control with stop and go functions and Kia's highway driving assist.
